My name is Shimpei Okumura, an Interactive Designer.

Prior to becoming an Interactive Designer I explored several other creative roles, initially Art as a general practice with Art Installation, moving on to Environmental Design, Motion Graphics and Graphic Design.

I have over 6 years of professional experience in the Moving imagery / Visual based industry. I spent one year expanding my interactive skills by attending an MA Interactive Media course at the London University of The Arts – London College of Communication, expanding my knowledge of theoretical consideration towards New Media.

This weblog is about my passion, Interactive design mainly conceptual wise such as User centered Design(UCD), Tangible User Interface(TUI), Emotional Design(EMD), etc etc. I have been posting several links I have been strongly uninfluenced by. I am also interested in developing a new digital communication style, with specific focus on social interaction in the physical world. This project is based on the concept of “Slow Interaction” which I am personally developing. Those reports are coming up soon.
